I can’t believe we are almost to the halfway point already!
This week, baby bean is the size of a side of guac (yes, adorable, I know!). Measuring in at around 5 1/2 inches long, we are starting to feel more and more flutters and movements happening in mummy’s belly!
Baby Doctor Appointment Update: Baby bean’s heart rate was around 147 this appointment, which is much lower than Aurora’s EVER was. Perhaps this kiddo will be a little less crazy than its big sister 😉
Symptoms: Well, since we hit the second trimester my skin has been all out of whack. Dry skin, random zits, nothing is seeming consistent. Luckily, I found the awesomeness of Rodan + Fields, and my skin is finally getting back to normal after a couple of weeks using their products!
I am also excited to say that I can officially feel some movement. Baby tends to be most active after I eat/drink something, when Daddy touches my belly and when I lay down to go to bed. I love that the little flutters are turning into real movements, makes my mummy heart overjoyed.
Aversions: NOTHING… I can and will eat all the food.
Cravings: Cravings still include things like cheese, pickles, the occasional sweets…but for the most part I mainly crave salty/savory foods.
Gender Predictions: We got on Halloween morning (t-18 days) to find out the sex…assuming baby cooperates.
My sister thinks it is a girl… so we will all see if she is correct in a couple of weeks.
Other Fun Things: I learned the hard way not to wear clothes that don’t stretch. Managed to rip the zipper open on one of my dresses at work yesterday (and when I say rip, I mean my dress went from zipping up most of my back to being a keyhole dress with one deep breath). It was hilarious…and luckily I had a blazer to wear so crisis averted.
Other than that things are going great. I have a healthy, beautiful little family and we are really looking forward to welcoming our new little bean in the near future ❤
18 weeks down, 22 more to go!
